As a Priest's kid who grew up in the Orthodox Church, I love capturing the richness of our Faith. Both large and grand Orthodox churches as well as the humble mission churches offer a beautiful scene that I can't wait to photograph. And my familiarity with the services from singing in the choir throughout my childhood means I know how to position myself for the best shots!
Hey y'all! My name is Mary Louise. I've been doing photography casually since I was a child and finally decided to take a college class on it back in 2021. My love of photography has grown since then and in 2024 I launched Whimsical Moments Photography, offering whimsical, fairytale-like portrait sessions and Orthodox photography. Over the course of that first year in business I realized that Orthodox Photography is what made me happiest, so I pivoted my business to that in the Fall of 2025.

what keeps me going
I envision my husband and myself in the Appalachians with 6+ kids. There's chickens and a garden. I travel around the surrounding states photographing weddings and baptisms for amazing clients. We attend a local Orthodox Church. It's a good dream.
